Welcome to CalSnap. By downloading, installing, or using the CalSnap mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

CalSnap is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze photos of meals and provide estimated nutritional information, including calorie counts, macronutrient breakdowns, and diet compatibility verdicts. The App also provides daily tracking features and diet profile management.

2. Disclaimer — Not Medical Advice

CalSnap is not a medical device, and the nutritional information provided is an AI-generated estimate only. The calorie counts, macro breakdowns, and diet verdicts provided by CalSnap are approximations and should not be treated as exact measurements.

CalSnap is not a substitute for professional dietary, nutritional, or medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have allergies, food intolerances, or medical conditions.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of any nutritional information provided by the App. Users rely on CalSnap's analysis at their own risk.

3. User Accounts & Data

CalSnap does not require user accounts. All diet profile data, meal history, and settings are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the security of your device and the data stored on it.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Free Tier: CalSnap offers a free tier with up to 3 meal scans per day, access to all diet profiles, and a daily tracking dashboard.

CalSnap Premium: A premium subscription is available that unlocks unlimited scans, trend reports, and additional features. Premium subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's subscription terms.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
• Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and features of CalSnap are the intellectual property of CalSnap and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CalSnap and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the App
• Any errors or inaccuracies in the nutritional analysis
• Dietary decisions made based on the App's recommendations
• Allergic reactions or health issues arising from reliance on the App's ingredient detection
• Unauthorized access to your device or data

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid for CalSnap Premium in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Allergen & Ingredient Disclaimer

CalSnap's ingredient detection is AI-powered and may not identify all allergens or ingredients present in a meal. The "Restricted Ingredients" feature is provided as a convenience and should not be relied upon as a sole means of allergen detection.

If you have severe food allergies, always verify ingredients through other means. CalSnap is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from inaccurate or incomplete ingredient identification.

9. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our website. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
