CalSnap ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the CalSnap mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Photos: CalSnap accesses your device camera to take photos of meals for nutritional analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers. Image data is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis and is not retained after processing.

Diet Profile Data: Your diet preferences, macro targets, restricted ingredients, and meal history are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

Subscription Information: If you subscribe to CalSnap Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (such as feature usage frequency) to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Analyze meal photos and provide nutritional information
• Provide personalized diet verdicts based on your chosen diet profile
• Track your daily calorie and macro progress
• Improve the App's features and performance

3. Third-Party Services

CalSnap uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API: For AI-powered food image analysis. Photos are sent to Google's servers for processing. Google's privacy policy applies to this data processing. Images are not retained by Google after analysis.
• Apple App Store / RevenueCat: For managing premium subscriptions. Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies govern subscription data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your diet profile and meal history are stored entirely on your device. We do not maintain any user accounts or cloud databases. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Photos taken for analysis are transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption and are not stored after the analysis is complete.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with third-party services as described in Section 3, and only as necessary to provide the App's core functionality.

6. Children's Privacy

CalSnap is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

• View, modify, or delete your diet profile at any time in Settings
• Clear your meal history at any time
• Delete all data by uninstalling the App

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
